Brigitte Reiss-Andersen is one of the world’s most respected and accomplished makeup artists, with the rare privilege of enjoying a top position in two forums: the fashion arena and the celebrity world. This background gives her a uniquely expansive view of beauty today. Brigitte sees makeup as an important tool for women to improve not only how they are perceived by others but also how they view themselves.
With more than 200 magazine covers to her credit, Brigitte is known for her brilliant creative expression and virtuosity of range. She got her training with such legendary photographers as Guy Bourdin, Helmut Newton, David Seidner, Albert Watson and Hans Feurer in 1980’s Paris.
After relocating to New York, Brigitte expanded her collaboration with top photographers like Patrick Demarchelier, Herb Ritts, Arthur Elgort, Annie Leibovitz and Irving Penn, and with the new generation represented by Michael Thompson, Norman Jean Roy, Alexi Lubomirski, Greg Kadel and Regan Cameron.
It takes a great team to make great pictures. Brigitte has collaborated with the renowned fashion editors Grace Coddington, Paul Cavaco and Tonne Goodman, and she has worked side by side with elite hair stylists Serge Normant, Sally Herschberger, Orlando Pita and Chris MacMillan.
