So the Golden Globes came and went and gave all the commentators and taste-makers the opportunity to rate the stars and their efforts to live up to the public’s expectations. With a few exceptions it was pretty much business as usual. However I was struck by how elegant, current and beautiful Jane Fonda looked. I have had the pleasure of working with this formidable lady a couple of times, and I thought of how good she always looks.

Actually, if I had a sudden bout of amnesia and couldn’t remember a thing about fashion and makeup history, the one person I would rely on to get me back on track and show me all of the decades in their quintessence is Jane Fonda. I can’t think of anyone else who has so completely embraced every decade and personified it so splendidly in her look. No matter what year it is, she is always hip and chic. Look at these pictures.
