New Fall 2011 eye shadows from Chanel
“Fashion for the Face” intentionally leaves product review to other bloggers who seem to get incredibly excited about any new makeup gizmo out there. Having witnessed the comings and goings of so many “new”, “fabulous” and “innovative” items over my years in the business, new cosmetics has to be truly amazing before I pop my cork! That said, once in a while there comes a new, fun product that opens a door of creativity and gives me inspiration to explore new looks. Well, I recently received the new Fall eye shadows “Illusion d’Ombres” from Chanel and they truly blew me away!
Chanel Fall 2011 - Illusion d’Ombre Long-Wear Luminous Eyeshadows
I absolutely love the light mousse cream texture in beautiful metallic shades. The two I’m crazy about are the shimmery white “Fantasm” and the nickel/silver “Épatant”. I have actually used them on three editorial shoots already. I will soon find an opportunity to try the black “Mirifique”. These shadows are subtle, easy to apply either by themselves,layered or mixed with other eye shadows. Bravo Chanel!

I love these eye shadows. I bought the ones mentioned and the first day I wore them to work a couple of gals said that my eyes looked very pretty and what did I have on. The eye shadows have a texture that is very easy to apply and blendable. The color stays on all day, too. I usually don’t wear eye shadow that is sparkly, but the gals said it brightened my eyes. I need all the help I can get with Fall allergy season here. Thanks for the great tip, Brigitte!
